On the occasion of the European Championships, the association “European Championships Marathon Canoe Decize 2019” (cemcd 2019) was born at the end of 2017 for the organization of the European Championships in Decize (Nièvre). Following the organization of the French Championships in Decize in 2016, Benjamin Masi and Daniel Bonin have set themselves the crazy challenge of organizing the European Canoe Kayak Championships. Once the application file was selected by the European authorities, the association was created. In order to better manage this entity, an organigram of the association has been set up to define the missions and roles of each person in order to better organize this event …

A directory composed of 5 people took place (made up of local elected officials and volunteers at the origin of the project). The Executive Board makes the decisions on the tasks to be performed as regards the organization of the championships. Other poles have found their place in the organization chart of the association such as: A supervisory board, which is responsible for validating and controlling the actions carried out by the executive board, an office, several members as well as various operational units (Directorate General, Sports Direction, Site Development Department, Transport, Shuttle, Marketing & Communication, Protocol …)
